Rusted bike lock

A rusted bike lock shows up after a winter outside, or after years of rain in a ring lock. The cylinder feels dry, the key only goes halfway in, or the lock will neither close nor open. WD-40 in a full cylinder often makes it greasy and tighter. Stop before the key snaps.

If the mechanism still moves, we open it. If it is truly seized, we cut the lock off. The frame, the wheel and the battery housing stay intact. We bring power, including in the centre and at night.

After that the bike is free. A new ring lock, chain or U-lock can go on in the same visit, so it is not left open on the street. Say so in the message and the right lock is on the van.
