Two locks: battery and bike

An e-bike needs two locks: one that holds the battery in the frame, one that holds the bike to the city. This page is both. The shop key at the till is usually only the battery — and sometimes a poor one.

Battery lock: Bosch, Yamaha, mid-motor Gazelle. Cylinders eat damp. We open them daily. Putting a cheap one back is how the battery still leaves in a bag next month.

Chain through the frame
