Lock brands
Lock brands we fit
AXA, Abus, Kryptonite, Trelock and Hiplok. What we see of them on the street, and a link to the maker.
AXA
The Dutch ring lock. Defender for a city bike, Imenso if you want a wider shackle, Solid when the frame is tight. The key is small and snaps in the cylinder. An AXA holds the rear wheel, not the bike to a post.

Chain, Bordo folding lock and Granit U-lock. This is what we bring when the lock has to be heavy, especially on an e-bike or cargo bike. ART 3 or 4 if the policy asks. An Abus cable is still a cable. We do not fit that as the only lock.

Kryptonite
New York and Evolution are the U-locks we open when the key is lost, and the ones we put back when the old lock has given up. Heavy. Measure the post, or it will not go round an Amsterdam lamp plus your rear fork.

German chain and folding lock, the same shelf as Abus. Sound if the hinges and the cylinder are. Too short, and it will not reach the post. Send a photo of the mount. Not every hole is a folding lock.

A lock you wear, or a U-lock. Useful if you do not want a mount on the frame. On an e-bike or cargo bike it is a second lock, not the only one. ART only counts if the rating is on that lock.
