AXA

Opening an AXA ring lock when the key is gone

Key snapped in the lock, cylinder spun, or years without oil: opening is often still possible. Otherwise we cut the lock with aim.

Then a new ring lock or an extra chain. ART advice if your insurer asks.

WhatsApp a close-up of the lock. We say up front whether we expect to open or to cut.

Defender, Imenso, Solid: the cylinder sits in the frame. So do not ‘just’ pull the shackle until the fork gives.

A snapped key can often still be opened. A spinning cylinder usually means cutting. We say which after the photo.

We fit a new AXA in the same mount. Buy an AXA if you already know the type.
