Chain lock seized or around a pole: what we do on site
Chain locks love rain and Amsterdam poles. A link that will not give, a lock head that spins, or the whole chain around a pole with no end.
We look for the lock’s weak point, not the bike’s. Cutting a link is often faster and cleaner than hours on a dead cylinder.
Scooter chain, motorcycle, cargo bike: same service, same price build.
Then a new chain on. Opening is only half the job.
A chain with no end around a lamppost: we cut one link. The frame stays out of the sparks.
Rust in the lock head is often worse than the steel of the links. Opening can still work. If not, the link.
Scooter and motorcycle, same build. Thicker chain, same price. Call or send a photo.
